Here’s The Full List Of Winners For The 2020 Golden Globes

The 77th Golden Globes Awards recently wrapped and the night was filled with some surprising snubs and very deserving wins. One such historical win was Awkwafina, who made history by being the first Asian woman to ever win Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in The Farewell. It was a female directed comedy-drama that explored the dynamics of an Asian-American household and the complexities of tradition and modern values.

Another Asian-directed film that took home a big award that night and it was none other than legendary South Korean director Bong Joon-Ho for his critically acclaimed film, Parasite. The film’s impact in pop culture has been undeniable, sparking a renaissance of South Korean cinema among international audiences.

Joaquin Phoenix received his second Golden Globe for his now iconic role as Joker. The unconventional actor dropped multiple f-bombs in his acceptance speech, even saying, “There is no f**king best actor.” A rather “Joker” move, albeit a subtle one. Phoenix had always been a sceptic when it came to awards so this came as no surprise. “I have not always been a virtuous man. I’m learning so much,” he said, “So many of you in this room have given me multiple opportunities to get it right.”

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood swept the Golden Globes, winning a total of three categories, including Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical. Meanwhile, big budget films/series by Netflix and HBO such as Martin Scorsese’s The Irishmen and Game of Thrones were completely snubbed. Here is the full list of winners and nominees:
