The global K-pop phenomenon that is BTS revealed that they will be back with new music and it’s sooner than expected! Jin, Suga, Jimin, RM, J-Hope, V and Jungkook had one of their biggest years in 2019 with their record-breaking album, Map of the Soul: Persona and Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour. The album debut at the top spot on the US Billboard 200 album charts and sold more than 3 million copies in a single month, in South Korea alone. Their 42-city world tour last year grossed approximately US$196 million, including King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, making the Bangtan Boys the first foreign artist to hold a solo concert in Saudi Arabia. It has been a history-making year for all seven members and they are not looking to lose that momentum.
After months of speculation, ARMYs now have received an official release date of the group’s next album. Big Hit Entertainment, BTS’ talent agency, shared a comeback map to help fans navigate and anticipate the group’s new album drop. The album, titled Map of the Soul: 7, is set to release on 21 February this year and pre-orders begin today, 9 January.
More details regarding their new album was released via the Weverse app, the group’s fan community and it was revealed that there will 4 versions of the Map of the Soul: 7 album cover along with all sorts of BTS merchandise such as posters, photo cards and so on.
Along with this highly anticipated comeback, Big Hit Entertainment also announced that BTS will be holding a tour in April of this year. Details such as dates and cities have yet to be announced but it is likely to be another world tour due to BTS’ massive international fan base. After all, the idol group sold out the Rose Bowl in the US and the Wembley Stadium in London… TWICE.

2020 is shaping up to be another epic year for BTS with the boys kicking the year off by performing at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve at Times Square, New York. The sky is the limit for the Bangtan Boys.
