With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we might find ourselves scratching our heads on which places to book for a meal with our significant other. Do you want a cozy brunch situation or perhaps a lavish and romantic dinner to get in the mood love? It’s a conundrum, really. For the couple who loves food and lives to experience great cuisine, we’ve devised a gastronomic journey into the hearts (and stomachs) of your loved ones.

Start your Valentine’s weekend with freshly baked croissants and over 200 types of Coffee. Romantic options include the Sweetheart Coffee, Sugar Moon Coffee, Honey Moon Coffee and Sweet Santos Coffee (naturally decaffeinated). Croissants are served with a side of honey from Guatemala.

P.S Cafe

 

One of our favourite go-to places happens to be the recently refurbished Great World which is convenient for lunch time crowds as they boast one of the largest carparks in the Orchard vicinity. Newly opened P.S Cafe at Great World offers options with a difference from their usual fare. Some exclusive branch menu items include Spiced Briyani Salad, Masala Roast Chicken as well as the Lamb Pilaf Pie. Within the puff pastry lid, basmati rice is mixed with slow-cooked lamb, spiced cauliflower and pineapple for a slight citrus finish. Balance the heat as you cosy up with a Choco Cherry Shake, a Valentine’s indulgence which is family friendly yet hits all the right spots.

Whitegrass

 

Under the helm of new Chef Takuya, previously from award-winning restaurants, Étude and Les Enfants Rouges in France, the restaurant serves modern French cuisine with a touch of Japanese. Savour Hokkaido Crab, Uni and Foie Gras within their 5-course Valentine Degustation which includes a welcome drink during lunch hour.

House on The Moon, a dessert bar concept by three-Michelin-starred chef Juan Amador (who is behind Alma by Juan Amador here in Singapore) and food designer David Marx makes its debut in Singapore. Opened in February, this is the perfect pit stop for a cosy teatime rendezvous. Enjoy their specially curated Valentine’s menu featuring their signature dessert and a cocktail.

Oysters, oysters and more oysters! This romantic little spot definitely has a cult following. Great for pre-dinner sunset drinks that puts you in the mood for love. Choose from a variety of affordably priced oysters during “Happy Hour” from 5 – 7.30pm daily except Mondays which is all night long.

The House of Truffles is back but it is now located at its new digs along Mohammed Sultan. If you’re a fan of little nuggets of gold – this quaint Italian restaurant is the sure win place. Almost every course of their 5-course menu (save for the dessert) has a good serving of truffles. As part of the special Valentine’s Day set, they’ve included many of their signatures like the thin egg-noodles Tarajin with fresh winter black truffles.

New Chef de Cuisine Matteo Ponti pulls out all stops for this Valentine’s. If you are wanting to really impress bae, this romantic modern Italian presses all the right buttons. 28 Wilkie is an exclusive Dom Pérignon Society partner in Singapore so it’s only natural to start the 7-course dinner with a glass of  champagne. Be spoiled through dinner with lobster, oyster as well as three dishes featuring caviar from Caviar Colony.

MO Bar

 

This bar recently received a nod at number 63 on Top 500 Bars 2019 list. Nestled in the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore and commanding a panoramic view of Marina Bay, be spoiled by Bar Manager Michele Mariotti and his team as they take you on a cocktail voyage across Asia. Enjoy unique tipples inspired by Asia’s long history of nomadic voyagers such as The Elixir, a crisp cocktail comprising Botanist Gin that is shaken with kaffir and calamansi oil and house-made lime cordial. It is served in a coupe glass with a single ice cube, and garnished with a kaffir lime leaf.
