While many South Korean celebrities have both their feet in the K-pop industry and the acting one, not many can do it quite as effortlessly as Choi Siwon. Known for his charisma and presidential demeanour, Siwon got his major break as one of the members of popular K-pop boy group, Super Junior. The 34-year-old idol then transitioned seamlessly to acting, starring in a slew of K-dramas including She Was Pretty and most recently, My Fellow Citizens!. Even before the world was quarantined, Siwon has kept a pretty low profile, participating in few public appearances. Hence, fans of this dashing artist will probably be overjoyed to know that you’ll be able to see a whole lot more of Siwon during this circuit breaker.
Siwon has launched his own Youtube channel, connecting directly to his fans. Of course, in typical Siwon-style, his first two videos that premiered were uniquely him with an almost “campaign-feel” to them. Watch them both below:
In the second video, the star explained why he decided on creating this channel as well as introduce his “No Challenge? No Change! Project,” which he hopes fans would participate in.
“Through this channel, I want to communicate more. Rather than the fancy life of celebrities, I want to talk about both sides,” Siwon elaborated, “Additionally, I want to convey the message that we can overcome difficult situations together. To not give up when you’re having a hard time.”

The episode ended with a little teaser of what’s to come. The idol expressed his excitement on this new project and promises a fun experience for everyone. “To be honest, I’m really looking forward to it,” he said.
So are we, Siwon, so are we.
