The Story of DolceVita

The DolceVita is clearly an important timepiece for Longines, considering the watchmaker has given it two updates in the recent year, and appointed local artiste Rebecca Lim as its new friend of the brand for Singapore to kick off the DolceVita’s local campaign. Designed to conjure up the carefree life of 1950s Rome that the iconic movie of the same name did, Longines’ DolceVita came to life in the shape of an archival 1920s rectangular watch in 1997. It’s since carved a name for itself as one of its most classic and feminine timepieces in the brand’s entire arsenal.

The Style

At first glance, the elongated watch dial lends a slender sensibility to your wrist,  especially after last year’s update which softened the watch with less angular curves. This year, aside from the new white dial that comes with more straightforward hour markers, the highlight of the new DolceVita is its interchangeable leather straps in a palette of vibrant colours that will perfectly set off your summer outfits.
