Kim Kardashian To ‘Launch’ A Homeware Brand Following Skims And KKW Beauty Success

Kim Kardashian’s KKW Beauty products and Skims designs might already be present in your bedroom, but it sounds like the business mogul is going one step further to infiltrate our homes.

E! News reports that documents they’ve obtained suggest the entrepreneur is expanding her empire to include homeware.

According to the news outlet, fans of the mother-of-four can expect to shop ‘towels, shower curtains, textiles for home furnishings, comforters, aromatherapy diffusers, bath products, body sponges, bathroom candles, household containers for storing and organising cosmetics’ from the reality’s new homeware business.

The decision would mark the first time one of the famous Jenner or Kardashian stars has launched an interiors brand, despite several of them already stepping into the worlds of lingerie, swimwear, cosmetics and fashion in recent years.

Interior design appears to be a subject of interest to the famous family, with Kendall Jenner recently giving Architectural Digest a tour of her Los Angeles home, which features a deliberately misspelt sculpture by British artist Tracey Emin.

As for Kim, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star regularly updates her fans with her interiors choices, sharing videos of her restaurant-size kitchen, minimalist bathroom and colour-coded pantry on social media.

What kind of products would a Kardashian interiors brand sell? Think nude-coloured soft furnishings, pristine white towels, Kardashian-shaped vases and perspex cushions.

This month, Kardashian – who is also training to become a lawyer – will celebrate the first anniversary of her A-list-adored shapewear brand Skims.

‘To celebrate our upcoming @SKIMS 1 year anniversary on September 10th, we’re giving thanks to our amazing community!’ she recently captioned a photograph of celebrities wearing her shapewear on Instagram.

‘I’m so excited to introduce our Anniversary Campaign featuring our biggest fans and a [sic] some of the most beautiful women who inspire me.’

Stars including Jodie Turner-Smith, Addison Rae and Rumer Willis have celebrated the brand’s anniversary this month, sharing photographs of themselves in its designs.

‘Thank you to everyone who has made Skims possible. It’s been an incredible year and I’m so thankful for your support. Go to my Instagram Stories to see all of the billboards!!!’ Kardashian continued.

It’s been a big year when it comes to the entrepreneur’s businesses.

Earlier this summer, Kardashian’s husband Kanye West tweeted that he was ‘so proud’ of his wife for ‘becoming a billionaire’ after news broke that she had sold a 20 per cent stake in her beauty brand, KKW Beauty, for $200m (£162m) to Coty Inc.

However, Forbes later denied claims Kardashian was a billionaire, weeks after revoking her sister Kylie Jenner’s billionaire title.

The publication stated that the reality star’s recent business deal values KKW Beauty at $1bn after just three years in operation. The beauty mogul is estimated to still maintain a 72 per cent stake in the company, while her mother Kris Jenner holds an eight per cent stake.

As a result of the sale, Kardashian’s net worth is estimated to be around the $900m (£721m) mark.

Last November, Coty bought a majority stake in Jenner’s beauty brand, Kylie Cosmetics in November 2019 for $600m (£481m).
