The coronavirus pandemic may have cancelled most big celebrity Halloween parties, but celebrities haven’t given up on the holiday entirely—or on going all out with their costumes. From Vanessa Hudgens‘ many Halloween costume shots posted to her Instagram throughout October to Selling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause getting decked out as Maleficent for Dancing With the Stars‘ Halloween episode, here are the best costumes from this year’s very different spooky season.
As Little Red Riding Hood.
On Instagram, Thorne wrote of the costume, "Lil red 👑 grandma doesn’t approve of my outfit 🥺"
Hudgens debuted this costume on October 2, writing on her Instagram, "Who needs a Batman when u can have a Batdog 😂🖤"
Hudgens posted this look on October 18, writing on her Instagram, "I was very inspired by Cabaret❤️"
Stormi Webster, Khloé Kardashian, and True Thompson
Stormi as a purple princess (seemingly Rapunzel from Tangled), Khloé as a mouse, and True as a cat.
Khloé shared the selfie on October 10, writing on her Instagram, "🎃👻Collecting Memories With My Favorite People👻🎃"
The model came as Nurse Ratched, originally of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest the book and film, and now Netflix show Ratched, to Jenner's 25th party.
Ciara and Russell Wilson
The couple paid homage to Beyoncé and Jay-Z by re-creating their 'Apesh*t' music video look from 2018 with pink and blue suits, respectively.
For added effect, the Wilsons posed in front of a portrait of Barack and Michelle Obama, whereas the Carters iconically shot their video in the Louvre so posed in front of the Mona Lisa.
The superstar receives an A for commitment for this The Twilight Zone costume, recreating the look from the classic series Eye Of The Beholder' episode.

The comedian took inspiration from his co-star Dwayne Johnson, dressing us as that vintage The Rock photo - complete with a bun bag - from the 1990s. Extra points to Hart for including all the details, even a napkin placed under the left elbow.
Johnson's response? 'You're an asshole. But I still love you. And I'm still laughing.'
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake
After an old clip from 1999 resurfaced showing Biel happily admit she was not an *NSYNC fan (and then when watching the clip say she didn't know any of the group's songs), she attempted to rectify the faux pas by paying homage to her husband's pop group... and curly hair.
Ever the supportive husband, Timberlake went simply as Justin Timberlake's microphone.
Gabrielle Union and Kaavia Union-Wade
It wasn't just Kylie Jenner who chose to dress their daughter up as mini versions of themselves. Union threw it back all the way to 2000 by dressing it up as her Bring It On character, the East Compton Clovers' captain Isis and fetching a similar little cheerleader costume for her 11-month-old daughter Kaavia.
