A certified K-pop and fashion legend, G-Dragon has always upped the game with his magic hands. The proof? His sold-out collab with Nike last year and the much-awaited and hyped about, another collab which drops in a few weeks.
The South Korean rapper’s first collaboration with the brand was a huge success, the shoes soaring in popularity around the world, not just in South Korea. On the same line, this year’s follow up is also built on the previous silhouette, G-dragon’s favourite, but in a reverse colour scheme set in white. The sneaker retains its self-expressive character with an embroidered daisy on the front, with black accents and laces and printed insoles. However, the highlight is the artist’s hidden colourful artwork within the shoe’s white upper that can be worn away, based on the mindset of self-actualisation which he calls “Youtopia.”
“Even though everything is uncertain these days, we shouldn’t stop expressing ourselves as the way we are, and creating our own world,” commented G-Dragon. “With these footsteps being connected, we will find our utopia spreading in front of our eyes. I dream of every one of you expressing yourselves freely in the Youtopia that you create for yourselves.”
