Having released its most subversive and rebellious collection earlier this year, Cartier will celebrate the success of the Clash de Cartier collection with an exclusive three-day pop-up — the first in Southeast Asia — at the STPI Creative Workshop & Gallery from 15 to 17 November.
At the Clash de Cartier Studio, the French jeweller will take guests on an engaging journey through the duality of the arresting collection, all while providing an unconventional and immersive experience that encourages visitors to explore their own “clash” of attitudes.
Here are 5 things you can check out this weekend!
1. Visit the BOOKSTORE
Specially curated books displayed at the BOOKSTORE will feature various contradictions across genres, themes and content. Here, you can also participate in a simple personality test to find out your alter “Clash” ego-personality, which can be translated and rendered into a simple, typewritten Haiku poem.
2. Vibe at the Record Store
Get in the groove under futuristic sound showers with a unique Clash de Cartier playlist, which was curated by Cartier’s leading French sound designer Michael Gaubert. Meant to encapsulate the spirit of the collection, the special playlist will feature a clash in attitude across the different genres.
3. Chill at the CAFÉ
Embracing the melting pot of cultures in Singapore, where East meets West, the photogenic Clash de Cartier CAFÉ — with one half of the space modelled after contemporary European metallic design, and the other after local décor — is the perfect place for you to rest and relax with your girl pals, friends or families. Besides being able to savour the complimentary “Clash” pastry and drink, you can also catch daily local DJ performances from 15 to 17 November, 6pm to 9pm.
4. Clash de Cartier Collection
Statement pieces from the Clash de Cartier collection will also be put on display at the experimental pop-up. From product inspiration animation to on-site product trying, guests are guided on a journey that discovers the roots of the irreverent yet elegant collection.
5. Up Your Instagram Game
With plenty of dedicated photo-taking opportunities, including a play on optical illusion where guests can view things upside down, guests can also have their portraits printed with unique designs created by the French jeweller.
