For the past two days, there’s been a major sale going on on Lazada. Called the Women’s Festival, this sale event kicks start the online shopping platform’s commitment to supporting female-led businesses. And of course, it coincides with the upcoming Mother’s Day.
Discounts ran up to 70% and here, the best beauty picks from the sale (ending tonight):
1. Dyson’s Supersonic Hair Dryer
The widely-raved supersonic hair dryer halves your blow-dry time, protects your hair from extreme heat damaged, de-frizz, and smoothens your hair. It retails for S$599 in stores and discounts are hard to come by — also why we’ve got this right smack on the top of our list.
2. Foreo’s Luna Play Plus
The Luna Play Plus is a cleansing device which emits what the Swedish company, Foreo, calls T-sonic pulsations — essentially micro vibrations which dislodges the dirt particles and dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. It comes in a full silicone body which makes it water-resistant (yes, you can use it in the shower) and it runs conveniently on the commonplace AAA-batteries (a set lasts you 400 whooping uses). So how do you use it? Simply slather on foaming (no oil) cleansers and massage your face. Local actress, Constance Lau, swears by it and will show you how she uses it in this video.
3. Laneige’s Sleeping Masks
It was in 2002 when the Korean beauty brand, Laneige, introduced their Water Sleeping Mask. Since then, the little blue jar has gone on to be one of the best-loved sleeping masks around the globe. While it usually retails at S$42 in stores, and S$59 for a set of two on KrisShop (making it S$29.50 per jar), prices are at its lowest now: S$23.80 per jar on Lazada.
For those looking for an anti-ageing regime, try the Firming Sleeping Mask from Laneige’s premium Time Freeze range instead. While it’s usually priced at S$56 on Sephora Singapore, but it’s going at S$27.80 on Lazada now.
4. Huxley’s Masks
Clean skincare fans might want to try this one. The South Korean brand, Huxley‘s masks are made of botanical active ingredients, namely the label’s signature prickly pear seed oil, alongside others such as cactus extract, and the annatto oil — also the three key ingredients to their hydrating Oil & Extract Masks (usually S$38 for three pieces, now S$19).
To ensure the freshness of their ingredients, the masks come in a dual-compartment pouch: the ultra-fine microfibre sheet on top, and the essence below. Prior to application, users have to pop open and release the ingredients into the mask. It’s a pretty neat and fun. And it’s unisex.
5. Sulwhasoo’s Radiance Energy Mask
The Korean prestige skincare brand, Sulwhasoo’s Radiance Energy night mask is a personal favourite. Upon application, the dense formula glides over your skin and melts into a lightweight cream. It’s quickly absorbed into the skin, so you do want to pile on a second layer (it’s not sticky). The active ingredients supposedly remove all the impurities that are accumulated on your skin over the day, and nourishes your skin overnight. True enough, in the morning, you’ll find your skin to be brighter and glowing.
The 80ml jars are generous and filled to the brim with the product — a jar can easily last you up to six months with daily use. For those struggling with dry and dull skin, this mask is a must-have.
The Women’s Festival Sale ends late tonight on Lazada.
