Who is reaping the most benefit during this stay-home season? Maybe it’s our dogs, who are getting to see us more than usual, or our physical health thanking us for a well-deserved break. But in all probability, this period is doing the most good to Mother Nature. As spring is upon us, gardens and parks are alive with beautiful blooms. And in line with the season, collections of nature-inspired jewellery are all ready for the picking.
As a springtime tradition, Van Cleef & Arpels celebrates the blooming season with its own rendition of flowers — in precious materials, no less. The Frivole collection is known for the intense reflection of every heart-shaped petal that makes up each blossom, achieved through a hand-polishing technique used for mirrors. This time, the effect comes into full shimmering bloom as seven differently sized flowers root themselves around an open bracelet, each unfurling one or three diamonds, artfully arranged in a three-dimensional composition to catch the most light in any direction. Accompanying the new collection are the extra-large Frivole pendant that transforms into a clip and a single-flower ring around the finger, for some sparkle that’s a little more subtle but equally noticeable.
